How to delete your data

You can stop toxoff using your Instagram, or delete all of your toxoff data, at any time.

1. Stop toxoff using your Instagram

Either of these stops toxoff reading and hiding comments on your posts:

In toxoff: open Settings > Manage accounts, then Disconnect your Instagram account. This also deletes the Instagram access token toxoff kept.
In Instagram: open Settings > Apps and websites, choose toxoff, then Remove.

2. Delete your toxoff account and all its data

Email support@toxoff.app from the email address you use with toxoff, with the subject "Delete my toxoff account". We will delete your account within 30 days and email you when it is done.

This deletes:

your account, name and email;
your connected Instagram accounts and their access tokens;
your removed-comment history, filter settings, setup answers and notification settings;
your plan, usage and invite history.

What is kept:

a one-way hash (a scrambled code that cannot be turned back into the ID) of each Instagram account you connected, so the same Instagram account cannot be reused to claim invite rewards. It is no longer linked to you;
records that Apple and RevenueCat keep about purchases, under their own policies.

3. If you have a subscription

Deleting your toxoff account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel it first on your iPhone: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > toxoff > Cancel Subscription.
